My Mom, The Best!

Image
I am a proud son to my parents.

Palatandaan Ng Isang Tunay Na Kaibigan

Image

A Letter To My Son

Image
Dear Nash, I know you still can't read, however; when time comes that you know how to read, hopefully you will appreciate that in my little way I was able to do something on your birthday. Looser kasi uncle mo kaya pasensya na. Lol. You turn three years old now and as always I am not there to celebrate. I just miss your cuteness and hopefully I will be there when you grow up so you will know me and wont forget me.  Looking at your pictures always makes me smile. I miss the first time we play together. That was unforgettable. If you only knew how much I want to stay to play more but I can't.  I pray that when you grow older, you will have the wisdom and the knowledge of Yahweh. Be a strong man and keep the faith. I will always be behind you and no matter what I will be you're best uncle in the entire world. I love you and I miss you. Happy Birthday! Huli Man Daw At Magaling, Sinungaling Pa Rin

Happy Birthday Papa!

Image
This is just a short message.. I would just like to great my Papa a Happy Birthday. What Makes a Dad God took the strength of a mountain, The majesty of a tree, The warmth of a summer sun, The calm of a quiet sea, The generous soul of nature, The comforting arm of night, The wisdom of the ages, The power of the eagle's flight, The joy of a morning in spring, The faith of a mustard seed, The patience of eternity, The depth of a family need, Then God combined these qualities, When there was nothing more to add, He knew His masterpiece was complete, And so, He called it ... Kabayaran sa Kasamaan

Image

A Letter to My Brother

Image
MAKATI , Philippines -- Today, July 23, 2011 is my brother's birthday. His the eldest in the family. I can say that me and my brother have that "frienemies" kind of relationship when we were still kids. I believe his 2 years older so we basically almost grow together. What I really dont like about having an older brother is that you'll inherit every clothes, shoes and other stuff that your older brother doesn't wear or use. In short, tagapag-mana ng tira-tirang damit. However, in our case my parents make it sure that what my older brother have, I'll also get. Like one time our parents bought us this terno shirt and short. We have the same shirt (but different in color), same shorts (different in color), same shoes (different size..of course). Worst right? I am like a copy cat of my brother. Anyways, it doesn't really bother me as I always look up to my brother. He has been my idol aside from my father. Anyways, since I am away from home and I...

The Family that Eats Together, Stays Forever

Image
I was reading Notbuk ni Lhan's latest post; Iba na Talaga Sila . My heart was broken while reading that post. I couldn't imagine how kids today utter such harsh words to an eldery couple. This makes me think how and why kids today think and act differently (not all, I think). I wonder why and how? Probably because of how the world evolves, it also affects the personality, characteristic and behaviour of the person. Technology, TV shows, Computer games, Internet are the few things that can impact and influence kids behaviour. But I tried to dig deeper and understand what is the main reason why kids doesn't even give importance to good manners and right conduct. Then it boils down to how the family interects with their kids. How family values the importance of eating together. I remember Sharon Cuneta's Lucky Me commercial where it tackles about how important it is to have time for kids during ...

My Sister's Wedding

Image
... Finally she walked down the aisle and will start to write her story. Her married life already started. No turning back. No regrets. No retreat and will never surrender....      These are the thoughts that flashed in my head will seeing my younger sister walked down the aisle on her wedding day. I used to see her as a small little girl, fragile and sweet. We used to play under the heat of the sun. We fight a lot when were still kids. We consider ourselves as "frienemies" (friends-enemies). I really don't know the reason behind why we always fight a lot when we were kids; maybe because we're both middle child. We always seek attention when we were little but in the end we both have each other's attention. Well, those were the days... and today is totally different. She has grown so fast and I can't imagine she will decide one day to get married before me.      She had a simple wedding, not that big and expensive. We w...

A lesson learned from my Nephew

Image
I got the chance to take a week leave from work last three weeks for Davao. Its a mixed emotion  though, as the original reason of taking a leave is to attend my Best friend's wedding, but  I didn't realized that its my Father's birthday on that same day. However, I'm excited to see my nephew after haven't seen him for a long time.       Living and working away from my family and relatives makes me feel I am not part of my family anymore. I felt that I don't know them. I felt like I'm a stranger to anyone in the house, though I constantly take a leave for a short vacation from time to time or if there is an opportunity. Sometimes, they tend to joke around that I really cannot catch up. I know its just a feeling but I cant help it, that's what I feel.       The first thing I did when I arrived is to see my nephew.  I know he wont recognized or remember anything about me. The first thing I have the chan...

Raising Up a Child

Image
I’m eminently excited because in the next two days I will be seeing my nephew. He is such a lovely child and very funny. He likes to play with my sisters and my Mom and Dad. He is two years old and hasn’t seen him for quite some time. It made me think how it feels raising a child. I was raise by my parents beautifully. We were raised by realizing the importance of obeying parents and following their precepts. We were reminded in Ephesians 6:11, to follow our parents in the Lord for this is right, for this is what God wants us to do.  I ask myself what If I disobeyed my parents. Where will I go? What will I do? Will they still accept me for what I have done wrong? Will they forgive me? The Bible tells about a rich man who had two sons. The younger one asks for his share of the estate. The father didn’t mind but share the property into two. One for the older and the other half was given to the youngest. The older son stayed with his father and help with their business. On the ...

Memoirs of my grandmother

Image
My grandmother (my father's mother) passed away Last March 15, 2010. I always remember her as a loving and caring grandma. To my Aunts she is a disciplinarian. To my siblings she is the defender. To my grandpa she is the love of his life. But to me she is a great grandma who will love you no matter what. She play a very important role in my life. She always find time to send me to school when Mom and Dad is not available. She is always there when I need someone. One thing that I always remember about her is she always remind me to read the Bible and trust God above all. To us she is one great grandma. We missed you and we love you Lola..
