I really don't consider myself a hobbyist because I don't always make terrariums. I only create when I have the necessary materials and when I have the motivation to make one. I believe that terrarium making is the same as having a pet, the only difference is that terrarium will survive even if you don't water it from time to time. With the right amount of materials and exact tender loving care, then terrarium will surely survive.  I started creating my own version of Terrarium when Covid-19 cases started to rise and the lockdown was implemented last March 2019. Mati, Davao Oriental, specially Dahican Beach, is known for its powdery white sand, uncrowded shores and crystal blue waters that will surely greet you if you are new to this location.  This 7-kilometer stretch of beach surrounded by coconut trees has been dubbed as the next Boracay which draws crowds from all over mainland Mindanao, Manila and Cebu.  This destination is called as the "Surfing Meca" in the Davao Region as this place is known for  surfers, skimboarders, and beach bums like me. Local Government units strives to keep the area protected as this is also a sanctuary for sea turtles (Pawikan).  The name "Dahican" comes from the word "dahik",  the word locals use to describe their act of coming in from the sea to nest.
