Responsibility

Remember when you were a kid? Your biggest worry was, like, if you get a new shirt or a brand new shoes on your birthday or if your parents give you your one weeks "baon" or just enough for a day. Or your only focus is just to play and play harder.

Being an adult? Totally overrated.

I mean seriously, most of us are fooled by fancy clothes, red shoes, brand new car, credit cards, late night parties, great sex, and the no parents telling you what to do and what not to do thingy.

Adulthood is responsibility.

This letter R really sucks. Really, really sucks.

As adults, we need to do things to survive. We need to earn a living to pay our monthly rental. If you are a teacher, educating little ones means you are shaping the future of our nation by molding this little ones into a better adult in the future. Talk about responsibility. As an HR person, holding employees personal and confidential information is a big responsibility, hello? If you're a bus/jeepney driver or a even pilot, the lives of your passengers is in your hands. Responsibility, right?

Responsibility doesn't go away. Even when we were still young and past the age of childhood, responsibility never stops and cannot be avoided. Eerie part about responsibility? When you screw up. Either some people make faces on us or we suffer the consequences. Big time.

But still, adulthood has its perks. I mean, fancy clothes, cars, parties, one hot great sex, and the no-parent-telling-you-what-to-do. That's, pretty damn good.

  1. Hahaha! I may agree with the phrase "adulthood has its perks" yeah, a lot - but then again after the end of the day, you'll still be haunted by R. So, the perks seem a not-really-so as it has its tail of responsibility pa rin....hehehe

    2. Absolutely right! And no one from us could ever escape from it. :)

  2. In a perspective of a problem, being responsible usually means behaving in ways that don't create problems for other people, and it also means doing things to fix problems (even other people's problems) when you see them. A responsible person will never see a problem and ignore it.

Naks sumeseryoso lang ang peg ko hahaha!

But teka lang, YIPPEEEE, you're back, finally back at di na ako pabalik balik sa blog mo at aalis na walang binasang bago lols! :) :)

  5. With power comes great responsibility, sabi nga sa Spiderman. Some choose to embrace it but there are jerks who choose to run away from it. At the end of the day, we all get what we deserve.

  6. Adulthood is scary, because without responsibility your life would be reckless. wait.... THAT'S FUN! ahahaha! Agree. Responsibility sucks. But in work, if it has a monetary value (a fatter paycheck) then it's really fun. I mean, you just have to be responsible for about 8-9 hours, then you can go partying until you fall asleep. Right?

But hey, it's not really that bad. I mean, it's actually the thing that's holding on this world together.

  7. It's truly a big word. As weird as it may seem, I always take responsibility as driving force for me to keep going. Yung tipong kahit haggard na.. kailangang ituloy pa. Siguro medyo adik lang ako sa productivity.

  8. Very true... It hit me when I made decisions for my patients' lives, because that's their life and it's scary to act on behalf of someone else. Responsibility is scary, but we learn and we share that to the next generation. Pero katakot nga talaga wahehehehhe!
