Grandiose

Lady in the Water Fountain | Abreeza Mall, Davao City
I never felt a heartbeat
Then you present yourself like a mystery
     Out of nowhere
You shed some light
     On my gloomy night
     From that point on
You promise to be there
That we will face each day
     With love and faith
We took a vow
     And sealed it
     With our heart entwined
I look up to the sky
     And I see your face
     Embracing God's greatest creation
Facing the sun
     Doing an oblation
     Praying from this day on
I will love you
Till the last strand of my crowning glory
     Fall on me

  6. I liked how it started as a fleeting and ephemeral description of a stranger and ballooned into an impassioned declaration. The allusion to the great Oblation was a nice touch. My only problem is, the POV changes from night to day. That kind of dampened the poem for me. But all in all it was a sweet and charming ride.
